(OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR)

FAKE AND UNAPPROVED INSTITUTIONS

It has come to our notice that one Larry K. James, a law student of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has opened a Tutorial Centre called NOTITIA TUTORIAL CENTRE as an outreach of ‘Open University of Nigeria’. This act has influenced innocent, unsuspecting candidates/students as well as the public in general who have assumed that the centre is a legitimate offshoot of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Of further concern is the advertisement placed by this impostors calling for Student Registration into the ‘Open University of Nigeria’.
The said advertisement was placed just on the next building adjacent to the University’s Study Centre located at No. 5, Dar-es-Salaam Crescent off Aminu Kano Street, Wuse II, Abuja.
We want to state unequivocally that the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Does not have anything to do with the so called ‘Open University of Nigeria’, or its prime mover (an impostor) and has never given any mandate to any individual or organisation to operate as such.
The law enforcement agencies and the National Universities Commission (NUC), the regulatory agency for all Universities in Nigeria, have been intimated with this finding.
NOUN students are hereby warned to desist from patronising this illegal institution or its affiliates.
Students dealing with him or the said institution would be doing so at his/her own risk.
Please be suitably guided accordingly.
